Surgical Oncology is a specialized field of surgery that focuses on the surgical treatment of cancer. Surgeons who specialize in surgical oncology are known as surgical oncologists. Their primary role is to manage cancer through surgical interventions, which may involve removing tumors, adjacent tissues, and sometimes affected organs.
